The promotional Specialist, John Ongodia has joined Buganda Regional League Simba SC (Ugandan Wildlife Authority) as Head Coach after his short stint at Onduparaka.
Ongodia was nicknamed the promotional specialist after helping to guide Buhimba United FC from FUFA Big league in 2024/2025 season to Uganda Premier League, leading Blacks Power Fc from FUFA big league to the Uganda premier league as champions but finally he joins Ugandan Wildlife Authority Fc (Simba).
Recently he was at Onduparaka FC as head coach and was able to help the team survive relegation. Onduparaka finished the season in the 12th position with 30 points above relegation zone.
In statement the he expressed a lot of gratitude to God and his family for the great support they offered him in the journey of his football coaching career.
“I am nothing without God, so I am who I am today and were I am today because of my faith in my God, my family. I am grateful for the chapter and project with UWA FC and with the faith in lord I serve with my ability, we shall achieve.” Ongodia stated
Ongodia’s tactical and man management prowess has seen him excel well in the promotion of different teams into the top tier division.
John Ongodia is a CAF C licensed coach with more knowledge in Football administration and Management that he acquired from FAMACO 1 course.
He has previously coach clubs including Sun Rise fc (Rwanda), Bukedea Town Council and Calvary FC.
