NEFRA: Only Two fixtures honored as the season climaxed

The North East Regional League concluded on 4th April 2026 with only four clubs honouring their last fixtures as the season climaxed with Myda topping the table with 74 points.

Myda beat Tita 1-0 in Kongunga whereas Kingandani beat NRS BABU 2-1 in Oligoi stadium.The League climaxed with clubs which failed to honour their last fixture claiming that there was no need to play after failing to secure the playoff spot yet the FUFA competitions rules and regulations mandate for each club to honour all their fixtures.

Myda finished the season with an electrifying performance at Kongunga with the lonely form Bruno kawesi that separated the two sides and finished top with 74 points
The team manager of Myda Sylver Owori also made a statement regarding the failure of the other team to honour the last fixture.
“It’s very unfortunate for it to happen that way, I am calling upon all the skaeholders to support the game of football”. Owori in a statement

He further applauded different football stakeholders for the support they made during the season.
“I want to thank all the stakeholders(fans, players, management for the support and even our opponents who made us innovate and improve”. Team manager myda Owori

Kingandani (Teso warriors) who honoured the fixture in Oligoi stadium beat Kingandani to end in the 5th position with 34 points

“When you look at the structures our aim was to be on top but we were dealing with young talent who needed time, in the first leg we finished with 4 points but now we have 34. We approached every game with consciousness and we don’t blame anyone for any result. But we are grateful for the achievement of this season because at least we qualified for the super eight next season”. Coach Joseph Emitu in a statement

The super 8 teams next season will feature Myda, Tapoh FC, Tepa, Obule Earth, Kumi United, Agape kotido United, and Ngora Rock Stars Whereas relegation will see Tubur, Basere supper eagles and Usuk United

  • Tapoh vs Tepa
  • Guardian vs Tubur
  • Obule Earth Quake vs Ngora Rick Stars
