The Emorimor Cup Organizing Committee in the recent post announced the postponement of the opening games of the Emorimor Cup, which were scheduled to kick off in Katakwi District on Sunday, 6th September 2026.
The Spokesperson Joseph Okurut Said that in a decision that follows ongoing engagements and consultations between the Office of Papa Emorimor, stakeholders, and partners regarding the tournament and its planned activities. These consultations are intended to ensure that all key stakeholders are adequately involved and that the tournament is organized in a coordinated and successful manner.
“Following these engagements, the Emorimor Cup Organizing Committee, in consultation with the Office of Papa Emorimor, has found it necessary to postpone the official kickoff of the tournament to a later date,” Okurut Stated
According to the Emorimori Cup spokesperson Joseph Okurut, new kickoff date will be communicated and officially announced in due course.
“We sincerely regret any inconvenience that this postponement may cause to the participating teams, clans, supporters, partners, and the general public”.
He also appreciated the understanding, patience, and continued support by all football shakesholders as Emorimor Cup is a memorable celebration of our culture, heritage, unity, and talent.
