The Raptors rugby Club is set to host 20 teams across the Eastern region in both Men and Women’s Rugby 7s games on Saturday 22nd August in Soroti City.
Soroti City as the host will be presenting only two teams, The raptors and Soroti Rangers and other 12 men’s clubs, and other clubs will be coming from Jinja, Iganga, Mable, Tororo and other parts of Eastern uganda. Soroti City as well do not have a women’s team.
The host team manager of Raptors, Jonathan Otuko called upon the community to come and support the game as one way of give back to the community.
“We are looking for companies and institutions who can do CRS ( Social corporate Responsibility) as one way of giving back to the sport,” Eboku Stated
“We’re trying to look for alternative opportunities for our young Men and Women because we don’t have enough backing”
He also added the competition will feature 14 minutes per game, 7 minutes each half, and semis and finals set to be played later in the evening.
