The chairman of Teso karamoja corporate league games, Dr. Daniel Ogwal has called up on for a corporate outreach mission to Wera Health Centre III during TK 5th Outing as one way to give back to the community.
According to Ogwal, he believes that football is not just for networking and fitness, but also an opportunity to impact the community around us with corporate love.
“As this is our first time in Wera, we would like to reach out to mothers and their newborn babies in the maternity ward of Wera HC III and support them with a few basic consumables.
“In this regard, I kindly request every corporate club — League 1, Super League, Netball, Volleyball and all well-wishers to contribute at least two bars of soap and 1 kg of sugar”.
Ogwal also reminded teams that this is voluntary action, and comrades are free to give as much as they wish.
He also noted that all contributions will be collected together at the playground. The committee and a few managers will then hand them over to the health centre.
The competition that has got more than 22 teams had its previous outing in Soroti Sports grounds in Soroti City.
