The Blacks Power Football Club has signed Julius Ocen popularly known as Akanji on a two year contract from Calvary FC.
Ocen joins the Northern Uganda outfit after spending weeks in the champ with Mugwera Simon Peter coached side where he was able to convince the team on the touchline.
He was also able to re-establish himself as a key figure with Midigo Calvary when he joined from Soroti City in 2023 alongside his fellow teammates Daniel Opio, Stephen Oriokot, Simon Odeke, Lawrence Olaboro with their head coach Simon Otim.
Ocen has been in the camp with his fellow teammates from Opio Dan who is also set to sign for Blacks Power a head of the new season set to kick off on 28th August 2026.
Blacks are trying to build the strong team as the return to the top flight although facing scrutinization on the club licencing process, the team’s home group Ebenezer has not yet been approved after the FUFA licencing Committee only approved seven stadea.
Akanji has previously played for Soroti City & Team Church FC before joining Calvary in 2023.
