Alan Okello set to break transfer records

Allan Okello has attracted interest from North Africa football clubs with Tanzanias Young Africans reportedly agreeing a lucrative deal to sell Alan Okello to AS FAR of Morroco.

Early in the week Wydad Casabalanca fellow Moroccan club were reportedly offering young Africans a fee worth of $700, 000 for the Uganda Cranes international.

Sources close to the AS FAR report that the club has offered an improved bid for Allan Okello as compared to what Wydad offered.

Senior sports journalist and Stongy fans of Alan Okello across East Africa claim that there is bad luck for Okello in North America as it was seen in his first stint with AC Paradou in 2020/23 season, the young star got an serious injury during that time but Paradou decided to terminate his contract.

It’s also reported Alan Okello is just left to agree on personal terms with As Far in deal which may see the star boy become the most expensive player across the CECAFA region.

Allan Okello returned to KCCA in 2023 in a loan move that still saw in struggle with recurring knee injury that further affected his stay at the Kasasiro where he was groomed.

Later in 2023 Alan in the most difficult and decisive decision, joined vipers SC after months of discussion with KCCA over a new contract, which later resulted in Okello to meet with vipers boss Lawrence Mulindwa.

Lawrence Mulindwa asked Okello to name what he wanted and further offered him serious treatment for his knee injury. Allan Okello’s knee injury got well and that is how Okello’s football career picked up a moment.

Okello went on to win two major trophies (a domestic double), helping the club win the Uganda Premier League and the Uganda Cup before Young Africans SC paid a reported transfer fee of $300,000 in January of the 2026 season, signing him from Vipers SC.

The move is also described as a destiny for Alan Okello as AS FAR is coached by former Yanga coach Pedro Goncalves, who submitted a better bid than Wydad Casablanca.
