Tapoh’s head coach Bryan Otingole in an interview with eritei sports in their last training at Soroti sports grounds ahead of their big clash against Myda FC in their season opener at Oligoi stadium.
The two-met last season in an epic clash that saw Myda beating Tapoh 2-1 to denay the ngora’s based side the opportunity to go for the FUFA Big League qualifiers against Amus, Myda qualified but was later knockedout by neighbors Amus college by 2-1 in aggregate.
During an interview with our reporter Otingole cracked jokes about their clash with Myda, but Otingole when asked about the absence of some of his player on training ahead of the game, said tomorrow is not a big day but rather a usual day for them.
“it’s a usual day for us and even seven players can beat Myda,” Otingole in a statement. He also added that there are a lot of things that happened behind the scenes in their second leg game that was played in Kongunga Primary school to determine their playoff spot.
“a lot of things happened behind the scenes and I can can’t say we were cheated.” Otingole statedThe captain of the team Micah Ocen also promised good performance ahead of the fixtures.
“We are well prepared for the game as you know it’s our first fixture but its going to good one for us”. Ocen noted
He also reponeded to the last season disappointing results, Ocen believes that the team ready to comeback.
‘’Yes, we lost but this is a new season, new energy and new everything so we shall win”
Tapoh will be in the new ground (soroti stadium0) as the open the season but big question surrounds the circumstances under which the team left Ngora to soroti city although the coach said that they have fans in soroti that deserve to watch the team.
Soroti has been a battle ground when it comes to fans supporting their clubs and that possess a big question whether they will receive the same fan base that had in Ngora.
